Depth work online and in Portland and Hood River Oregon

RADICAL | the fundamental nature. Wild, daring, at the root.

RADICLE | the first root a seed sends down. It anchors the seedling and becomes the taproot.

How I work

I work with people in the deep deconstructive work of finding their strength, belonging, purpose, and place in the whole, as well as preparation and elaboration for expanded states.

This is social ecology, practiced through pattern recognition, disruption, imagination, creative chaos, eros, and emergence in relational spaces, with individuals and with groups.

That we may surrender to life and create radically in service of our communities and the earth.

Capacity is not something you have.

It is something you are held by.

Tools we use

  • Ocean

    Somatic Inquiry

Core beliefs live in the body rather than the reasoning mind which is why insight alone changes so little. Working to slow down and track what the body reports as it happens we can listen to wisdom more accurate than the stories you may have been telling. These stories are protective rather than pathological. Each took its role when it was needed. We learn what they have been guarding and let them set down work they have long outgrown.

  • Stars

    Family Constellations

You come from a system and you are still inside it. It has its own rules about who belongs, who came first, and how what is given comes back into balance. When one of those is out of order, by someone excluded or unspoken, by a child who took on a burden that was never theirs, the system carries the breach forward. Someone later picks up a pattern they did not choose and cannot explain. We find what was displaced, restore it to its place, and the person carrying it is free to set it down.

  • Leaf

    Ritual and Nature Based Practices

Ritual marks change and makes it real. It shifts perspective and holds what ordinary life has no structure for. It is also the oldest way we have of taking our place in a living system rather than standing outside it. This work happens in relationship with the ecosystem you actually live in. I work with sound, with tobacco, and with what is already at hand. Our Ritual tools are the world you are already made of and standing in.

  • Soil

    Preparation and Integration

A psychedelic or expanded state can dissolve the separation between a person and the living world. Psychedelic and other work in expanded states is a catalyst but it does not supply the container to hold what it reveals. That ground is built slowly and in relationship, and it is the heart of the work.

  • Clouds

    Enneagram

The Enneagram, in the depth tradition rather than the personality-quiz one, describes the particular way a person's attention narrowed early in order to survive. It names what you habitually reach for, what you cannot see, and the specific shape your defenses take under pressure. It is uncomfortably accurate and it is not a category to live inside. Used well, it maps the door out of the pattern.

What people bring

  • An abstract outline icon with a starburst contained within a circle shape.

    Place and Belonging

Deep untouchable loneliness, and the disorientation and paralysis of the wound of disconnection.

  • An abstract outline icon with diagonal lines within a circle shape.

    Grief for the world

The dissonance of seeing clearly and the heartbreak that comes with it.

  • An abstract outline icon with a rainbow-shaped pattern within a circle shape.

    The pattern that keeps happening

The recognition of the same dynamic in a new arrangement.

  • An abstract outline icon with geometric and diagonal lines across a circle shape.

    Transition

The need to mark an ending or a beginning within a reality of continuity.

  • An abstract outline icon of a circle sliced into different proportions on the left and right sides, like a pizza.

    Preparation and Integration

Opening possibilities and elaborating on expanded states in your body, your life, your people, and the place you live.

Life happens in the adjacent possible between order and chaos, where anything can happen.

About Renee Jenkinson

My work is devoted to the loving diversification of our beliefs, identities, and interconnections.  I grew up in the wilds of the western US and Hawai’i and now split my time between Portland and the slopes of Mt Hood/Wy'East on land I have shared with four generations of my family.

My practice is grounded in nearly three decades as a wilderness guide and teacher. I have worked one-on-one with clients in personal process since 2009, and have served as founding director for multiple organizations working in wilderness immersions, rites of passage, storytelling, and outdoor education. I serve as a teacher and pathway dean and coordinator for the AWE Foundation’s Ecstatic Mysticism program’s school of the Web of Life and I also direct Pacific Wilds, which provides remote medical training and consulting in risk management and place-based programming, and leadership.

I hold a Bachelor's in Public Health and a Master's in Integrative Psychedelic Therapy. I am a graduate of AWE's Psychedelic Therapy Training, a three-year program of study and apprenticeship in Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Gabon.  I am a Wilderness EMT with training in Hakomi Method and Somatic Experiencing, and am a Mbanji Bwiti initiate.  I am committed to unlearning and relearning as I continue in this work.
